Terms of Service

1. About ForwoodAI

ForwoodAI ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered forestry intelligence platform operated from Panama. We provide teak plantation analysis services including species identification, tree counting, girth estimation, and timber volume calculation using the Hoppus formula.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ForwoodAI in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all users including free, Professional, and Enterprise subscribers.

3. Account Registration

To use ForwoodAI beyond the free guest scan, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information including your real name, company, and country
• Keep your password secure and not share account access
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

One email address may only be used for one account. Duplicate accounts will be merged or terminated.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

Free Plan

Free accounts receive 1 photo scan per 24-hour rolling period. Video analysis is not included. No payment is required.

Professional Plan — $19.99/month or $199/year

Professional accounts receive 350 photo scans and 30 video analyses per month (videos maximum 1 minute each). Quota resets on the same day each month from the date of subscription.

Enterprise Plan — $39.99/month or $399/year

Enterprise accounts receive unlimited photo scans and unlimited video analyses. Includes API access with a unique API key, custom report branding, and priority support.

Billing

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis
• Annual subscriptions are billed once per year
• Prices are in US Dollars (USD)
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

5. Refund Policy

Please see our Refund Policy for complete details. Summary: monthly subscriptions may be cancelled any time and access continues until the end of the billing period. Annual subscriptions may receive a pro-rated refund within 30 days of purchase if the service does not meet your needs.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use ForwoodAI only for lawful forestry and agricultural purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or replicate our AI models
• Use automated scripts to exceed your plan quota
• Share your API key with third parties outside your organization
• Upload images that violate any law or third-party rights
• Use the service to process images of protected or illegally logged forests
• Resell access to the service without an Enterprise agreement

7. AI Accuracy and Disclaimers

ForwoodAI provides AI-assisted analysis as a decision-support tool. Our results are estimates based on visual analysis and should be used alongside professional forestry judgment.

• Species identification confidence scores indicate probability, not certainty
• Girth and height estimates depend on image quality and scale references present
• Hoppus volume calculations use industry-standard formulas with assumed measurements where exact data is unavailable
• Thinning recommendations are general guidance based on standard forestry practices

ForwoodAI is not responsible for forestry management decisions made based on our analysis. Always verify critical measurements with certified forestry professionals.

8. Intellectual Property

ForwoodAI and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by ForwoodAI and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all images you upload. By uploading images, you grant us a limited license to process them for the purpose of providing our service.

We do not store your original images beyond what is necessary to deliver scan results. Scan result data is stored in your account history.

9. API Usage (Enterprise and Professional)

API keys are issued to individual subscribers and may not be shared, transferred, or published. Each API call counts against your monthly quota. We reserve the right to suspend API access for abuse or quota violations.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days then deleted.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ForwoodAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify subscribers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Panama, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Before filing a claim, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting Junaid@forwood.com and allowing 30 days for a response.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the competent courts of Panama City, Panama, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction and venue over the matter, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.

These Terms are drafted in English. Where a Spanish translation is provided for convenience, the English version shall govern in the event of any conflict between the two.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full force and effect.
